Literature Text

Eyes screwed up and bolted tight.
Tearing open tissue boxes of childhood hopes
That gathered the dust of outdated dreams
Year

By

Shattered

Year.

Fed sedation and truth,
They twisted back and bit your hand
In the heat of rage.
Lasciviousness:
An indigo curse that caught you by the mouth
And slid in beside you
Between sheets of lightning
When you were cold.

Forks that never split
And the pent-up energy sings along your heartstrings;
Power lines humming a half-remembered melody.
Antithesis to words you can't forget,
Whispering warnings of wan eyes in moonlight,
Broken boys with promises in their fingerprints
And the future kiss of subtle sunrise.
But you lost the knack of shutting out the dawn.
Eyes screwed up and bottled tight,
Shake up the night
And

Watch

The

Fireworks.
I dunno. It's messy, I know. But I haven't the energy to tidy it up.
Lots of alliteration o_O
